About Us
Ah, the joys of getting older! Squinting to read the road atlas, dialling wrong numbers due to the small print in the telephone directory, struggling to read the ingredients on our anti-aging creams... Sound familiar?
Having experienced these symptoms firsthand, Alison and Sally created Eyebiz to fill what they believe is a gap in the market for fun, fabulous and affordable reading eyewear for women and men. While reading glasses have until now often been seen as a dowdy, unstylish necessity, our new handpicked range of colours and designs aims to change that.
How we started
The birth of Eyebiz has been an exciting journey for us. Friends for more than 10 years, having met at our daughters' school, we were both uninspired by the range we found at our local high street chemists, so we embarked upon a quest for the perfect reading glasses. From Paris and Milan to Hong Kong, we have sourced a collection of fashionable, yet practical, specs designs in a wide range of styles and fabulous colours.
From day one, it has been vital to us to balance style with substance. We have worked with professionals to develop quality, expertly crafted lenses which help tackle the problem of age-related eyesight change known as ‘presbyopia’.
Getting older means many eyes inevitably lose the ability to focus on nearby objects - but this no longer means the end of beautiful looking eyes.
Our Solution
Our solution is simple. We know there must be are thousands of individuals out there like us, whose strong sense of style does not diminish over time (or with the demise of 20:20 vision for that matter). With a pair for every occasion, a casual lunch, a meeting at the office or a glamorous evening out, we have stunning eyewear to accessorize your every mood and outfit.
